Add a 3rd dimension

If I'm working on a project that requires both 1/2" sheets and 3/4" sheets, I'd like to be able to add all the details about all the parts and let the programs apply the cuts to the correct sheets. If you want a killer feature that I've never seen in another program, allow either a blank 3rd dimension or a check box that would indicate either size could be used (say for a hidden strengthening rail).

    Hello,

Recently we released an update to Otimize Nesting where you can specify a material description of the parts and stock.

When you click “nest”, Otimize will match boards and parts together and show the cutting lists by material description.

This description field is free and you can use to specify the 3rd dimension, material type and finishings.

This feature is only available on the Plus plan, that costs USD 25/month. If you are interested to try this feature, please let me know or visit.:

    Regards,

    Igor.

Thickness and material please. example: I save a bom out of my cad software for an assembly, includes 16ga steel, 1/8" Aluminum, and 1/4" plate. Inventory includes thickness and material type. Final nest includes sheets from all diferent materials. Next time I import a csv bom I saved out of my cad software it is automatic. I don't need to split the materials into 3 or more separate boms (which the cad software won't do automatically or very easily), save them out separately, import them separately, and nest them separately.
